Petroleum prices: increase in.
Ultimately the Congress laid govt. in center could increase the price of petroleum prices and the political parties including Mamata, sharing power could do nothing in the matter. The opposition parties could not unite themselves on the subject and different political parties made demonstration to shine their business of politics. It was 25the June; the day on which emergency was claimed but on that day also the opposite parties were blowing their own trumpets. Inspite of high inflation Congress could win general elections, had got success in different states also. The political parties in the right perspective should analyze this fact.
The reality is that now people have ample money to spend whether it may be black or white. No body as a general class interested in agitation business on this count but the political parties have their own constraint to do agitation to remain in picture. General public is not joining in such type of agitation saying that this all is most inevitable.
In fact the business class and transport class only makes hue and cry to pretend that by increasing the prices of petroleum products their business will get set back. This cry is meant only to justify their claim to increase the higher charges rates in an exorbitant manner. In fact the rise in price is not such that there will be increase in inflation. For two wheelers owners it may be 30 rupees and for a car owner it may be about 100-125 per month only. For public transport also it is the same case but the system of fixing rates for public transport is such that the transporters are never satisfied by any rise of higher charges. They are always unsatisfied because of greediness.
LPG policy should be changed. One connection with one cylinder may be on subsidized rate but if one has double barrel connection there should be no subsidy on such connection at all. Stop this subsidy business. If one wants two cylinders connection it is luxury to have two cylinders and one should pay full price. It should be the rule. Government should not hesitate from taking such decision.
